Celebrate WheatonArts’ 2024 Season Opening: Wheaton Springs! Inviting visitors of all ages to join us on Saturday, April 6th, from 10 am to 4 pm, to explore, experience, create, and celebrate across WheatonArts’ 45-acre campus. Admission to all exhibitions and artist demonstrations are free and open to the public as part of WheatonArts Family Days, presented by PNC Arts Alive!
Explore new exhibitions! In the Folklife Center, discover Ceremonies in Circles, an exhibit featuring traditional West African masks and garments. Exhibiting artists Ira L. Bond and Richard Robinson Jr. will give a talk from 2:30 pm to 4 pm on African Masks and Masquerades. Meanwhile, in the Museum of American Glass, delight in the new Centuries of Tomfoolery exhibition, highlighting intricate and playful glass objects from the past recreated by present-day glassblowers.
Experience diverse demonstrations by our skilled artisans, from ceramic teapots to large-scale mural painting and wood carving. Witness the marvels of 3D printing and broom making, along with molten glass creations!
Create with our series of hands-on art activities for all ages and skill levels! Projects include crafting bird feeders, designing community wings, making faux stained glass sun catchers, paper plate flowers, and more.
Celebrate by indulging in a bite to eat from a variety of food vendors. Picnic amidst scenic surroundings, and groove to the uplifting melodies of The Tabernacle Reggae Band, who always bring positive vibrations.
