Cape May County Easter Events – 2024

Spring has sprung! Easter, despite taking place in the “off-season,” brings many great events to every town in Cape May County. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather, and check in with the event organizers to make sure that events are still happening if inclement weather hits. Orange = clickable link.

Middle Township Easter Scramble  

Saturday, Mar. 23 at 10 a.m.

Meet the Easter Bunny and find the candy filled eggs! Please bring your own basket.  

Stone Harbor Oliver Twist Egg Hunt 

Mar. 23, 24, and 30 from 12 to 3 p.m.

Come to this free event for photos with the Easter bunny and to hunt for eggs! 

Lighthouse Church Easter Eggsperience 

Saturday, Mar. 23 from 12 to 2 p.m.  

1248 Route 9 South, Court House 

Join us for the Easter EGGsperience! A free, fun family event for all ages including games, crafts, snacks, hayrides, egg hunts, and more! Rain or shine! We will move inside if it rains and use both the first and second floors for our activities. Please register online by finding the event on the Lighthouse Church’s website; find the event on the online calendar.  

Ocean City: The Great Egg Hunt  

Saturday Mar. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m.  

6th to 14th Streets along the boardwalk 

Stop by participating stores to find eggs, while supplies last. This event was moved to the 24th because of Saturday’s weather.   

Dennis Township Egg Hunt – Traditional  

Sunday, Mar. 24 at 1 p.m. 

565 Dennisville Road, South Dennis 

Ages 3 and under, and kids 4 to 7, can participate in this classic egg hunt. The hunt starts promptly at 1:15 – please arrive at 1 p.m. Bring a basket to collect eggs; all participants receive a chocolate bunny. Limited prize eggs are available.  

Dennis Township Ultimate Egg Hunt  

Sunday, Mar. 24 at 2 p.m. 

565 Dennisville Road, South Dennis 

Kids 8 and older can participate in this “ultimate” egg hunt with a bigger boundary and better-hidden eggs. 25 eggs are carefully hidden, each with a great prize inside. The hunt ends when all eggs are found. The hunt starts promptly at 2:15 – please arrive at 2 p.m. to learn about the boundaries and rules. For more info, call 609-861-1045. 

Cape May Egg Hunt  

Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. 

Convention Hall, 714 Beach Ave, Cape May 

Children will hunt for hidden Easter eggs containing Easter treats. The lucky winner in each age group who finds the Golden Egg will receive a special prize. Ages include Toddler to age 10. No Rain Date. 

Lower Township Spring Fling  

Saturday, Mar. 30 from 9 to 12 p.m.  

Freeman Douglass Park, 676 Shore Rd, Lower Township 

The Recreation Department will have a Spring fling along with an Easter Egg hunt on March 30, moved from the 23 due to rain, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Freeman Douglas Park on Rt 9.  There will be a stilt walker, inflatables, ballon artist, face painters, music, donuts, and coffee free of charge. Come out and have some fun. 

Sea Isle City’s Spring Fling  

Saturday, Mar. 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Easter at the Zoo 

Mar. 29 to April 7

Cape May Point State Park Egg Hunt 

Saturday, Mar. 30 at 1 p.m. 

We at the state park are hosting our first ever Easter Scavenger/Egg hunt! Meet at the park office to check in – we will have a private egg hunt in the trees for children 2 to 6 years old. Eggs with candy and prizes. 

Children 7 – 12 years old will have a scavenger/egg hunt on the trail with treats treasures and prizes. Eggs filled with candy or seashells, scavenge for prizes and treasures and treats. Limit of 30 children per group reserve early; call (609) 884 2159 

Belleplain State Forest Egg Hunt

Wildwood Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt

North Wildwood Step Back Foundation Easter Egg Hunt

Greater Wildwood Jaycees Easter Egg

Easter Kegg Hunt at Historic Cold Spring  This event has been canceled

Saturday, Mar. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

733 Seashore Rd, Lower Township 

Hop on over and sign up to play! Start at the Brewery and ask a tasting room server for your answer sheet. Follow the directions to explore Historic Cold Spring Village for eggs. When you find an egg open it up and answer the question to move to your next clue. At the end, put your answers inside the Easter Kegg. One lucky winner with the correct answers will be drawn!
