For decades, Stone Harbor’s Chamber of Commerce has hosted its annual Merchants’ Day Sidewalk Sale. Bargain hunters and shoppers flock to the downtown shopping district for the best in “end-of-season” buys and deals. This year’s Sidewalk Sale will go on, but instead of a one-day event, it will take place over four days – Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30.
Since mid-June, all of Stone Harbor’s retail businesses have been able to welcome masked visitors inside. And although no shop owner can say that Summer 2020 has been business as usual, the past 8 weeks or so have been going well. Vacationers are here and are spending some of their time shopping, dining, and patronizing these wonderful & unique small businesses. And so, Stone Harbor’s traditional Sidewalk Sale will happen. In addition to “masking up” to shop inside, all shoppers will be required to wear masks while shopping outdoor racks and tables. Shoppers are also asked to respect social distancing and wait patiently to spend time browsing and choosing purchases both inside and out.
More than ever, small businesses are depending on consumers to choose to shop local and Stone Harbor’s 4-day Merchants’ Sale is a great opportunity to make this happen! The sale begins Thursday, August 27 at 9 a.m. Outdoor sales will go on daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and end on Sunday at 2 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
