Pasta Pesto Brings the Mediterranean to the Wildwoods

Now in its second season, Pasta Pesto Italian Grill brings homemade Italian cuisine and food products to the streets of Wildwood. From the pasta to its delicious sauce, every aspect of Pasta Pesto’s dishes is made on-site in its sprawling kitchen. Throughout the large and open dining room are situated a number of antique pasta presses, setting the tone for diners to enjoy a truly home-cooked Italian meal. Pasta Pesto features a number of traditional Tapas, or appetizers, including Zucchini Chips, Mozzarella Mezzaluna, Clams Posillipo, Bruschetta, and more.

Family and friends are also encouraged to share one of the Grill’s Foccacia Flat Breads such as the Panatha, topped with buffalo mozzarella, tomato, garlic, arugula, and pesto. For a lighter bite, sample one of Pasta Pesto’s signature salads featuring prosciutto, scallops, shrimp, salmon, chicken, crabmeat and steak optional toppings. The perfectly grilled paninis or fresh wraps make for great lunch dishes and are served with Pasta Pesto’s French fries.

But the Pasto Petso experience is not complete without a taste of one of their Piatti di Pasta, or pasta dishes. From classic spaghetti to tortellini and rigatoni to lobster ravioli, all pastas are prepared in-house in the bright and clean kitchen, visible to diners seated in the dining room. Served with seafood, baked, or stuffed and topped with fresh marinara, Bolognese, alfredo, rosa, and white wine sauces, these diverse pasta entrees do not disappoint. Steak, chicken, and veal dishes are made with the finest cuts of meat and served with the starch of the day or pasta of your choice.

With its own brick oven, Pasta Pesto Grill is also home to a number of classic Italian pizzas. From the basic Margarita to the spicy Salsiggiotta topped with pomodoro, buffalo mozzarella, Italian hot sausage, roasted peppers, mushrooms, and onions, their brick oven fires up an array of diverse options. Bambini, or kids, are more than welcome and can choose from their very own menu.

Pasta Pesto Italian Grill also features its very own beautifully finished illuminated bar and invites patrons to take a seat and enjoy their favorite wine or cocktail. Underneath the bar’s glass top is a display of a number of homemade pastas available for diners tasting pleasure. Just gazing at this assortment tends to work up an appetite. The most recent addition to Pasta Pesto’s cozy, ten-seat bar is the signature Martini List. Dessert-lovers are excited about the Reese’s Pieces Martini – a dessert martini made with vodka, crème de cocoa, and rimmed with Reese’s Pieces. The glass is first drizzled with caramel and chocolate before the martini is masterfully poured. Swing by for Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and enjoy $3 domestic drafts, $4 house wines, a taste from the $6 menu, and $1 off mixed drinks including the Calypso Cooler, Ellen’s personal recommendation.
