Have a spooktacular rainy day by going to visit all the haunted attractions in Cape May. There is so much to do that it will keep you entertained all day with fun activities.
Start with a Ghost 101 Investigation on August 24th at the Emlen Physick Estate. The investigation will be from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. You can join a paranormal research team for a nice dinner at the Carriage House Café & Tearoom. After dinner you, will join the team for an investigation of one of the most haunted houses in Cape May – the Emlen Physick Estate.
Hop on the Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour for a 30 minute ride through the streets of Cape May with a guide who will inform you on past paranormal findings. The tour begins at the Washington Street Mall and it is $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-12. The trolley is enclosed and allows riders a nice time to relax while listening to a guide. When better to take a haunted attraction tour than on a rainy, dreary day?
Another trolley tour worth your while is the Ghosts of the Lighthouse Trolley Tour. On the way to the lighthouse, enjoy the ghost tales that have been discovered by Craig McManus, a psychic medium. They say you can feel the ghostly presence… Dare to climb to the top of the tower when you get there?
On September 21st from 7:45 to 10 pm, join in on the fun Full Moon Ghost Hunt with Ghost-One. They say the ghosts are more active under a full moon. Find out for yourself by spending time in the Physick Estate with investigators. The evening will begin with a presentation about techniques and the tools that will be used. Then, you will be divided into small groups to go in the house with a member of Ghost-One to explore the haunted mansion’s rooms. After the night is over, you will return to the Carriage House to discuss what you have found and enjoy some desserts.
Elaine’s Haunted Mansion Restaurant is one of the most popular hot spots in Cape May for haunted attractions. During dinner, you may notice the picture frames moving and other mysterious things happening. The Mansion also features a dinner theater option which includes a full course dinner along with a play.
At Southern Mansion, you may see the apparition of Allen Ester Mercur. If you don’t see the apparition, you may smell perfume and hear laughter. Walking through the mansion, you may notice a few cold spots that will lead to chills running up and down your spine. This bed-and-breakfast will give you a haunting thrill – you never know what spirit may be with you.
Queen’s Hotel is a three story hotel and has been around since 1876. There have been reports of furniture moving and apparitions appearing all over the hotel. If you smell some perfume, you may not be alone. There have been numerous reports of real hauntings that have happened many times.
