A California tradition has made its way to the east coast: beach volleyball! Since the early 1900’s, it has been a favorite summertime activity found on many beaches. The equipment involved is simple: a volleyball, a net, and some friends! Most beaches and parks have designated courts with nets. Official game rules calls for teams of two or six, but can be leisurely played with as many or as little team members as available.
In addition to being a great beach pastime, it serves as an excellent way to stay healthy and meet new people. Bump on over to DoTheShore.com for more information on upcoming competitions. Grab a ball and your friends and head to your local beaches and parks to find an empty court to begin playing!
