Stumped on what to get someone on your list? If your loved one is a beach lover, give him or her an early glimpse of the sun and sand by gifting beach tags for the next summer season! Some communities even offer special holiday tags, making for a festive addition to any beach tag collection. Read on for information about purchasing beach tags this holiday season in each municipality.
Avalon
According to Avalon’s website: It’s never too early to think about a day on the beach. The Borough of Avalon will make its very popular holiday beach tags available for sale online on Monday, November 1st. The beach tags will be available for in-person purchase during Festive Friday and Snowfest Saturday, November 26-27th at the Avalon Beach Tag booth between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm. The Beach Tag Booth is located adjacent to Avalon Community Hall, 30th Street and the beach.
The holiday beach tags are produced by the Jersey Cape Diagnostic, Training, and Opportunity Center. The tags are seasonal tags and can be used at any time during the 2022 beach season in Avalon. The tags feature a smiling turtle wearing a Santa hat, with a holiday tree on its back. All tags are sold in a decorative box, perfect for gift giving. The price for the tags is $25. During in-person sale at the Beach Tag Booth, cash and personal checks are accepted for payment. If there are any holiday beach tags still available after November 27th, they may be purchased in person at the Avalon Tax Collector’s Office inside Avalon Borough Hall starting Monday, November 29th while supplies last.
Starting November 1st, tags can be purchased online at https://jersey-cape-tags.myshopify.com/collections/avalon. There is a nominal processing fee for online purchases. Major credit cards are accepted for payment.
Stone Harbor
Stone Harbor’s 2022 Holiday Beach Tags are available at a pre-season rate ($32) online via Jersey Cape Tags. For more information, visit www.stoneharbornj.org or call (609) 368-6805.
Once the holiday tags are gone, Stone Harbor seasonal, pre-paid, and free Veteran beach tags are available for purchase daily at Borough Hall Monday-Friday 8:30-4:00pm (until Friday of Memorial Day weekend) and at the Beach Tag Office ( 95th & the Beach) weekends in May 10:00am-4:00pm and everyday starting Saturday of Memorial Day weekend
Sea Isle City
Sea Isle City’s Limited Edition 2022 Holiday Beach Tags go on sale Monday, November 15, at the pre-season rate of $20 each. You can purchase Holiday Beach Tags at the Welcome Center, 300 JFK Boulevard, Monday thru Friday (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and on Saturdays (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM), cash or checks only. Holiday Beach Tags are also available from the Beach Tag Vending Machine, located in the lobby of City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard. The Beach Tag Vending Machine is accessible 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, and accepts cash only.

Cape May
Cape May’s beach tags are available pre-season for only $25 through March 31st. These beach tags are available online at capemaycity.com/departments/beachtag
On April 1st, the price will raise to $30.
Ocean City
Ocean City’s beach tags go on sale Saturday, November 20th at Ocean City’s City Hall. Pre-season tags will cost $20, but the price will increase as the summer season draws near.
