Drink of the Week: Violet Beauregarde Lemonade

For this week’s drink, we stopped by the Water Star Grille located at The Reeds at Shelter Haven. Patrick, our bartender, served us up the Violet Beauregarde Lemonade, an ode to the colorful character from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory novel. As many may remember, the competitive gum chewer blows up like a giant blueberry after trying an experimental gum on the factory tour. In suit with the novel, the drink begins with fresh muddled blueberries. Next, lavender syrup, which gives the drink its flavor, is combined with fresh squeezed lemon juice and Brockman gin as well as a splash of soda. The mixture is then shaken up and poured. The result is a light purple hued drink that is not only delicious but refreshing.

Enjoy this drink as well as many others from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., seven days a week. As well as great cocktails, enjoy culinary delights from the kitchen that will make your mouth water. If you are cruising the waterways, the Grille welcomes you to dock and dine!
