For this week’s featured drink, we stopped by Rio Station to talk to bartender, Tami, about her original creation, Tami’s Tea!
Tami started making her signature drink by adding a lemon slice and ice to a glass. She added Bacardi Rum, Beefeater Gin, Sauza Tequila, and Ultimat Vodka to the glass. She topped it off with Coke and sour mix, then added everything to a cocktail shaker. She poured it back in the glass and it was ready to be served! Tami’s tea is the perfect twist on a Long Island iced tea and people ask for it all summer long, so head to Rio Station and try it yourself!
Rio Station is located at 3505 Route 9 South in Rio Grande. If you’re looking for more than just a great drink, Rio Station’s extensive menu has something for everyone. The family-owned and operated business still makes every dish from scratch, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for courtyard seating and takeout. Rio Station is open year-round, so stop by at any time to order Tami’s Tea, enjoy a great meal, and relax at the Rio!
