Drink of the Week: Orange Crush

This week, we decided that we wanted to enjoy a refreshing cocktail with a beachfront view. What Cape May County bar and grill would accommodate this vision? We agreed to “Keep calm and Harry on” at Beach Avenue’s most relaxed and cool oceanfront eatery. Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grill at the Montreal Resort is home to a panoramic patio bar featuring all the frozen favorites and some of Cape May’s friendliest mixologist. We took our seat and asked bartender Brandon for the best that Harry’s has to offer. Their signature Orange Crush remains one of the most popular cocktail selections and we’ve heard word that it is the freshest of fresh. This seemed like a logical choice. A few minutes later and after just one sip, we knew we had found our drink of the week winner. The Harry’s Orange Crush is made with the fresh squeezed (right before your eyes) juice of one to one and a half oranges. Sobieski Orange Vodka, Triple Sec, and a splash of club soda are added to the juice and shaken for the excellent end result.

While the Orange Crush is no stranger to cocktail menus across the County, Harry’s NEVER uses orange concentrate in theirs. Whether it’s being made for a patron at the bar or a diner inside the restaurant, Harry’s does not skimp on freshness. For patrons who might be craving a liquid lunch or a cocktail with a savory kick, Harry’s is home to another signature that continues to impress. The Harry’s Bacon Bloody Mary is made with a house-made Bloody Mary mix and Absolut Peppar, finished with a slice of crispy bacon. Sample these and even more selections from Harry’s extensive cocktail menu daily at Harry’s Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Harry’s also features 40+ draft and bottled beers, and all drafts are discounted during Harry’s Happy Hour. Be sure to consult the menu for your choice of select $5 appetizers. Get Happy at Harry’s!
