82nd Annual City of Cape May Baby Parade
Friday, August 1st from 11 a.m. to noon
Where: Along Beach Avenue, Cape May

Stand up and cheer for the youngsters at the 82nd Annual Cape May Baby Parade. The parade will march off at 11 a.m. from Congress Street along Beach Avenue and end at Howard Street. Post-parade, there will be an awards ceremony held in Cape May Convention Hall.

Trophies will be awarded in five separate categories: Pretty Baby, Decorated Baby Carriage, Children Walking in Fancy Dress, Children Walking in Comic Dress, and Decorated on Wheels. There will also be awards for Best Float (motorized or pulled) and Best Overall Entry. The rain date for the parade is Aug. 2, 2014 at 11 a.m.

Wildwood Crest 5K Beach Run
Saturday, August 2nd from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
Where: Heather Rd & Ocean Ave, Wildwood Crest

This 5K out-and-back beach run, along with one-mile fun run/walk, will begin and end at the foot of the Wildwood Crest Beach Pier. Late registration/check-in/packet pickup will take place at Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center on Friday, Aug. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. For more info, call (609) 523-0202.

Robert Coombs Memorial Bay Run
Saturday, August 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Town Bank Fire Hall – 224 Town Bank Rd, Town Bank

This is the thirteenth year of the consolidation of the Robert Coombs Memorial Bay Run and the David C. Douglass, Sr. Memorial Race. This year’s edition features a certified 5 mile race as well as a 2 mile health run/walk. Both courses are scenic and are located primarily along the beautiful Delaware Bay. Registration opens at 7 a.m.

52nd Annual Stone Harbor Arts & Crafts Festival
Saturday-Sunday, August 2nd & 3rd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (4 p.m. on Sunday)

Wildwood Crest Antique, Classic and Hot Rod Car Show
Saturday, August 2nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: First United Methodist Church – Fern Rd & Atlantic Ave, Wildwood Crest

Spectators are invited to enjoy this display of antique, classic and customized hot/street rods. Cars must be 25 years old or older to qualify in NJ Vintage Cars on display for the public to view. Wings ‘N Water Benefit Auction
Saturday, August 2nd from 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Wetlands Institute – 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd, Stone Harbor

The Wings ‘N Water Benefit Auction is the Wetlands Institute’s premier event of the year. The Benefit Auction shouldn’t be missed. Guests enjoy incredible food catered by the Washington Inn, as well as fantastic cocktails and wines. Our beautiful air-conditioned tent is the perfect setting for our largest fund-raiser of the year that supports our world-class conservation, research and education programs. Queen of the Crest Triathlon
Sunday, August 3rd from 6 a.m. to 12 noon
Where: Rambler Rd, Wildwood Crest

Aug. 3, participants will put on their swimsuits, jump on their bikes and lace up their sneakers for the ‘Queen of the Crest’ Women’s Triathlon. The triathlon begins at 7 a.m. with a ¼ mile ocean swim held at Rambler Road, a 10-mile ride through Wildwood Crest and finishes with a 5K run on the Wildwoods’ beach. 33rd Annual Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association Canoe and Kayak Race
Sunday, August 3rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Upper Township Beach – Mosquito Landing Rd, Tuckahoe

Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association will be hosting the 33rd Annual Canoe and Kayak Race to benefit the Merchant’s Scholarship Fund at the Upper Township Beach. Starting time for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards (new this year) is 11 a.m. and the finish line is at the portion of the beach as marked. Awards will be given out in all divisions! Come and participate or bring your beach chair and enjoy a great time cheering on your favorite participant!
