Come join The Wetlands Institute for a festival that celebrates an amazing spectacle of nature – the shorebird migration and horseshoe crab spawning season. Guests of all ages can enjoy shorebird banding demonstrations and volunteer participation, back-bay kayaking tours, back-bay birding and wildlife boat tours, reTURN the Favor horseshoe crab rescue walks, a horseshoe crab spawning survey, horseshoe crab teaching tank and aquaculture tours, horseshoe crab themed children’s activities, guided shorebird viewing walks, and more! 4th Annual Clam-A-Rama

The Beach Shack and Rusty Nail have been preparing all winter long for the most anticipated event of the season: the 4th annual Clam-A-Rama Clam Pitching Tournament on Saturday, May 16th, 2015. Join us on the beach in front of the Beach Shack and engage in a friendly competition against your friends, family, or some clam pitching pros!
Explore the Shore

Discover the secrets of Cape May Harbor as we explore the shore and marsh. Join our naturalists as we hike the beach, pull a seine net (weather permitting), and encounter an incredible diversity of marine life. We’ll learn about the fascinating lives of the animals that inhabit our coastal and wetland habitats; including the fascinating and ancient Horseshoe Crab. Have an up-close experience with horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and other local marine critters in our laboratory and learn why these animals are so important. Walk-ins welcome. No preregistration necessary.
Wild Half Marathon & 8k

Where: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
One wild weekend…a seaside half marathon that combines your love of running with the pure joy of an amusement park, the sights and sounds of a classic boardwalk, outstanding accommodations, together with the rhythm of beach life. In addition to the 13.1 mile marathon, there will be a 4.8 mile race (8K) offered. Turtlesinger Concert

Where: St. Barnabas by the Bay Church, Villas
Turtlesinger Karen Buckley and Turtletoter Charlie Buckley will perform May 17, at St. Barnabas by the Bay Church, 13 W. Bates Ave., Villas, at 3 p.m. The Turtlesinger concert will be a multimedia, interactive performance including live turtles, turtle feeding, turtle songs, turtle slides and video. Children and families are welcome to attend. A free will offering will be taken and refreshments will be served after the concert. For information call 609-886-0667.
Sunday Night at the Movies – “The Butler”

Enjoy Sunday Night at the Movies May 17 at The Branches at 7 p.m. to see “The Butler,” starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey. The life of a White House butler who served under eight presidents unfolds against a backdrop of paralleled change in American history. The film is a true story and rated PG-13. There is no charge for the movie and the evening is open to everyone. Movie goers can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy a discussion after the movie.
