Winter is coming, and that means that many Stone Harbor businesses will be taking some time off to reboot and recharge for the New Year. But before they do, many shops and boutiques have one final hurrah on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Shopping in Stone Harbor on New Year’s Day has become a tradition for many locals and visitors. Who doesn’t need a little retail therapy after ringing in 2016? This will be a first for the new specialty shop The Well Dressed Olive. Owner Jane Dawley invites you to stop in and have a taste from her more than 45 varieties of olive oils and vinegars.
There are so many sales happening, you are sure to find fantastic deals throughout the entire shopping district. Pete Lengle from Stone Harbor’s Hoy’s 5 & 10 says, “After our big New Year’s Day sale we close our doors for the next couple of months, so come shop at 25-50% off, store wide.” Mimi’s Shop and Suncatcher are two favorite New Year’s destinations for bargain hunters, with both stores selling all of their merchandise at up to 50% off.
Maggie Day, owner of the specialty children’s boutique Nesting is celebrating her fifth New Year’s Day Sale. “It’s my biggest sale of the year!”
