The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol will host their 2023 Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run on Saturday, August 5, at 5:30 p.m.. Runners of all ages are invited to participate in this popular competition, which takes place on a traffic-free course along Sea Isle’s ocean-front Promenade and Beaches.
The starting line for the 2023 10-Mile Island Run will be on the Promenade in front of Beach Patrol Headquarters at 44th Street, and the finish line will be on 44th Street Beach. Numerous water stations will be positioned along the racecourse, and refreshments will be served to runners near the finish line.
Online pre-registration costs $25.00 per runner (until 11:00 PM on August 2); and race day registration costs $35.00 per runner. Online pre-registration for club and team members is $27.00 per runner (until 11:00 PM on August 2); and race day registration for club and team members is $37.00 per runner.
High quality commemorative tee-shirts will be given to the first 1000 online registrants. Electronic chips will record each runner’s time; and Compuscore Computer Services will provide race results.
Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female runners in a variety of age groups during an Award Ceremony in front of Beach Patrol Headquarter after the race.
Because this is an evening race, the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol respectfully asks that walkers and extremely slow runners do not participate, because it will be dark (and unsafe) by the time walkers and slow runners complete the race.
