Improvements continue at Rio Station, the long-time area restaurant. This has become most evident from the reaction of guests.

“I hadn’t been here in a couple of years,” remarked a diner recently in a phone call to the owner. “I was extremely pleased to find a better staff, better food and a nicer look.”

“I like the atmosphere, menu selection, drink selection and food quality & value,” remarked another guest in a survey.

The changes and updates have been largely under the direction of General Manager and Executive Chef Richard Rutherford. Since taking on a major leadership role, he has instituted changes that have inspired improvements throughout the restaurant.

“We are looking forward to continuing to grow in our community,” Rutherford said. “We have an excellent team that have come together to play a significant role in the growth we’ve experienced. That, and an incredible group of loyal guests that we are extremely grateful for.”

In addition to changing specials, new revolving beers on tap, and a wide selection of wines to go with the meal, Rio Station has been working to improve the dining experience with new building paint colors and other touches represented in a pop of color in the bar stools and artistic details throughout the dining room.

Courtyard seating is the latest addition with new tables and chairs to allow guests to sit outside to enjoy a cocktail before dinner or while waiting to be seated. Outside dinner service will be added shortly as staffing permits.

Rio Station is located just outside of the Grande Center Mall at Rt 9 & 47, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, 7 days a week starting at 7:30 am. For more information, call 609-889-2000 or visit riostation.com.
