Photographer Bill Bader is the July Featured Artist at Cape May Artists’ Cooperative Gallery

“Underwater,” Photograph by Bill Bader

WEST CAPE MAY – The Cape May Artists’ Cooperative Gallery (COOP) will feature the works of photographer Bill Bader, during the month of July. Bader’s exhibit, “Re-imagined Landscapes,” provides a glimpse into his reality of the world around him – a world he created and that originated with a lens. Bader’s art is a visual wonderland – images manipulated to introduce a new perspective and curiosity. An artist’s reception is scheduled for Saturday, July, 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the COOP located at 122 Sunset Blvd. in West Cape May. Light refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.

Bader has had many careers but the common thread through all his occupations has been photography. He is inspired by nature and the exploits of daily life. With a camera always at his side, today’s technology of digital cameras and image editors have provided Bader the freedom to push boundaries within his creative process. The resulting work is beautiful images of layering, color distortions, combining the best part of multiple images and eventually arriving at re-imagined landscapes.

The COOP is the first and only artists’ cooperative in the county whose mission is to foster local art and contribute to the understanding and appreciation of the visual arts in Cape May County. Owned and operated by its members, the COOP carries a full selection of members’ original work including paintings, glass, photography, mixed media, jewelry, works in wood and bird carvings, clay and paper, and fiber arts. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is available behind the gallery. For information regarding shows, membership and events, call (609) 435-5253 or visit capemayartistcoop.com.
