Drink of the Week: Samoa Cookie Cocktail

Herald Staff Pick

Our Video Producer chose this week’s drink of the week, Samoa Cookie Cocktail, in honor of Girl Scout cookie season. This sweet treat is inspired by the well-known caramel and toasted coconut-covered Girl Scout cookies, Samoas, also known as Caramel deLites.

The Samoa Cookie Cocktail is a classic treat for children turned into a cool cocktail for adults. To make this sweet treat, first, dip the rim of your glass in chocolate syrup and shredded, sweetened coconut, and put some extra chocolate syrup in the bottom of your glass. Then, combine Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Malibu Coconut Rum and Disaronno Amaretto. Lastly, garnish with Samoa cookies. Now, take a sip – you probably didn’t think Girl Scout cookies could get any better, but they just did!

Ready to try the Samoa Cookie Cocktail? You can make this delicious concoction yourself with the help of our friends at Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet in Rio Grande, which offers huge discounts and monthly specials on the spirits you need as well as wine and beer. If you’re further up the coast of the Jersey Shore, Gleeson’s Liquors in Ocean View has a wide range of discounted spirits along with international wines and domestic, imported and craft beers.
