Drink of the Week: Dogtober

Our most recent drink of the week combines those tropical summer flavors that you may have begun to miss with that spicy kick characteristic of fall cocktails. An original creation by bar manager James, the “Dogtober” hails from Dogtooth Bar & Grill. This cocktail’s flavor was created in hopes of highlighting the warm, savory taste most reminiscent of autumn’s bonfires, harvest, and falling leaves in a light and very drinkable form. The Dogtober is made with the simple combination of Fireball cinnamon whiskey, amaretto, and ginger ale. The amaretto’s sweet almond flavor balanced by the Fireball’s dash of spice can be best described as a classic autumn taste.

Grab a Dogtober of your own at Dogtooth’s Happy Hour, Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the bar or on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again from 11 p.m. to midnight. Plus, Dogtooth is celebrating NFL Sundays all fall long with $7 cheesesteak wraps, $6 nachos, $.49 wings, $2 domestic pints during all Eagles games.
