Do The Shore Fashion Makeover

Grazia DiDonato came to us in need of some fashion counsel. An indoor and outdoor aerobics instructor, “I spend everyday in exercise clothes!” she exclaimed. “Help me to stop buying sneakers and workout clothes and put on a nice sun dress, jewelry, sandals, and look like I didn’t just walk out of the gym.” Do The Shore Fashion Makeover and Moxie Boutique of Stone Harbor to the rescue! Grazia arrived at Moxie in (as she had described) head-to-toe workout gear. Baseball hat, yellow tank, black workout pants, and sneakers, Grazia was ready to look “cute and put together” once and for all. Rebecca Weinstein, Moxie manager and main buyer, took the reigns, pulling numerous looks that she thought would best highlight Grazia’s trim frame. “I work so hard on keeping fit and need to show off my hard work in a nice dress,” expressed Grazia. “People have told me I look good in blues…” And these “people” proved to be right. Grazia slipped into an aqua Classique handkerchief halter dress and wowed all makeover bystanders. The dress’s silky finish looked picture perfect and its blue and green accents contrasted with her tan complexion and golden waves. Plus, Grazia’s toned arms, her best asset, were on display. Rebecca finished the look with silvery Steve Madden wedges and Altiplano handcrafted Guatemalan earrings, necklace, and bracelets. Michael Weinstein opened Moxie Boutique’s doors forty years ago, and has since made it the store’s mission to offer high quality clothing at a reasonable price. Named “Best Store at the Shore” by Philadelphia Magazine in 2009, Moxie Boutique was described as “a little trendy, a little earthy”. With items from many West Coast sources and brands from Florida, New York, and Las Vegas, Moxie Boutique offers a selection for fashionistas of varying ages and tastes. Enjoy your own Moxie makeover daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Labor Day and weekends into the fall.

Wrayanne Ennis was seeking the perfect makeover look to suit her career and home life. “My style is classy and never provocative, however, I still dress similar to my daughter who is 17. I would love to be able to have a style that is career oriented as well as stylish and elegant,” she stated. As a territory manager for Bosch, Wrayanne is expected to travel often. Shore Couture owner, fashion designer, and stylist Renee McCartney was more than happy to accept Wrayanne’s challenge. Renee expressed how perfectly her new QVC line “Sure Couture” would fit into Wrayanne’s crazy schedule. “The Sure Couture accessory line allows me to expand my reach to the QVC viewer with easy-to-wear, easy-to-travel pieces that will jazz up the simplest ensemble,” she explains. The daughter of a professional hair stylist and with a passion for the latest cosmetic trends, Renee first got to work on the beauty aspect of Wrayanne’s new look. “Eyebrows are the windows to the soul,” stated Renee as she perfected Wrayanne’s fresh-faced look. Next, Renee added body to Wrayanne’s poker straight hair and styled it into a sleek pony with a side swept bang.

It was then time for the “after” clothing selection. “As a boutique owner and knowing how garments are constructed, it is easy for me to dress all body types and ages,” states Renee. And Renee most definitely proved herself, pulling perfect looks for Wrayanne with finesse. Wrayanne first slipped into a pair of stretch jeggings and a pink billowy silk top with both a 70s-inspired silhouette and print. “I love it. I can wear it with a gray pencil skirt at work or with jeans on the weekend,” she exclaimed. Renee finished the look with a pair of leopard print dangling earrings. “Mixing prints is a big trend right now,” she explained.

Renee invites ladies from ages 18 to 60+ to make every day a red carpet day with her new apparel and accessories line “Sure Couture” available through QVC. This fall, she will launch surecouture.com which will include an online shopping section with the hottest trends and information on Sure Couture’s latest mobile service. Be “sure” to check out Shore Couture Boutique in the coming weeks for great deals on summer clearance and the latest fall fashions.
