Dirty Hands Garden Club Workshops Begin!

Come join our “Dirty Hands Garden Club” at the Nature Center of Cape May as we learn from master gardeners, artists and naturalists how to create an aesthetically appropriate space for wildlife at your home or business. We will have lectures and time in the field to learn different tricks and techniques to turn tiny stretches of terrain into premium garden space.

This club will help anyone develop a green thumb and is the perfect way to grow your nature knowledge and stewardship toward our planet. Topics include plant propagation, hardscaping, water features, art in the garden, container gardens, awakening the garden, herb gardens, floral arrangements, bees and how to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The club will end with our plant sale on May 19 and 20, so be sure to visit and pick up some plants to benefit a local nonprofit.

The price to join (covers all sessions) is $75 for members of NJ Audubon and $90 for non-members. Individual classes are $20 for members of NJ Audubon and $30 for non-members. Classes are held Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please call ahead at (609) 427-3045 to let us know which day you would like to come. The Nature Center of Cape May is located at 1600 Delaware Ave., Cape May.
