Cape May’s 84th Annual Baby Parade is Too Cute to Miss!

Don’t miss the most adorable parade in the Nation’s Oldest Seashore Resort. The 84th Annual Cape May Baby Parade scheduled for Friday, August 5 steps off at 11 a.m. from Congress Street and Beach Avenue. Grand Marshal Devon Vanderslice, Miss Cape May County 2016, will lead the procession down Beach Avenue from Congress Street to Howard Street where the parade ends.

Participants are invited into Cape May Convention Hall immediately following the parade for the awards ceremony conducted by Mayor Dr. Edward J. Mahaney Jr., Grand Marshal, Miss Cape May County 2016, Devon Vanderslice and Queen Maysea Cheyenne Hamby. Trophies will be awarded in five separate categories: Pretty Baby, Decorated Baby Carriage, Children Walking in Fancy Dress, Children Walking in Comic Dress, and Decorated on Wheels. There will also be awards for Best Float (motorized or pulled) and Best Overall Entry.

Registration is free to all participants 12 years of age or younger. Registration and judging will be held at Congress Street and Beach Avenue beginning at 10 a.m. Pre-registration will be accepted until Thursday, August 4 at 4:30 p.m. To register, please call the Office of Civic Affairs at (609) 884-9565, or email at recdept@capemaycity.com.
