An idea by a second grader has mobilized the students at Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School (BMRCS) to put on a talent show to benefit the pediatric patients at Cape Regional Health System. Bishop’s Got Talent will take place on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at BMRCS, 2221 Rt. 9 N., Dennis Township (near mile marker 20).
Greta Rebecca Kleinman, age 7, approached her parents with an idea to help children who are suffering from various health issues. Greta met with school administration and a representative from Cape Regional Health System to share her idea. The event is being planned by student CARES Ambassadors, a group of fifth to eighth grade students, working with Greta and adult volunteers.
The show is open to the community. Tickets are $5 for children under 12, and $8 for general admission. Children under age 3 are free. There also will be food for sale and a silent auction. Proceeds from the show will be used to purchase equipment and supplies to enhance the pediatrics department at Cape Regional. Sponsors are welcome.
