Described in reviews as “lecturing,” “scolding,” “punishingly heavy-handed,” “portentous and simplistic,” even invoking “a Kurt Vonnegut novel” as derision, “The Circle” brings Privacy Rights back into awareness in a much needed homage to Orwell, and is a perfect companion for a day on the beach.
