Acclaimed singer/songwriter Avi Wisnia presents an eclectic mix of refreshingly original songs and inventive covers, finding inspiration in classic Brazilian bossa nova, acoustic American folk, 1950’s west-coast jazz, and contemporary pop. A wordsmith as well as a composer, Avi’s clever lyrics give a knowing nod to his contemporaries, while his smooth vocals and deft piano skills assure you that this is truly something new. Avi has toured the US with his debut full-length album, Something New, performing in prestigious venues across the country, and sharing the stage with such artists as The Roots, Ani DiFranco, and Maroon 5. The New Jersey-born, Philadelphia-based songwriter is thrilled to be returning to the Cape May Festival for the seventh consecutive year with two official showcases, and as host of the Midnight Songwriters Jam at Exit 0 headquarters on Cape May’s Sunset Boulevard.
