Avalon Performing Arts Council (APAC) Hosts 29th Annual Art Show and Sale

The Avalon Performing Arts Council is pleased to announce its 29th Annual Art Show and Sale, June 17 and 18. The Opening Night Preview Reception is Friday, June 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. Light food and beverages will be provided. The show continues Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year the Art Show will feature an Art Auction both days. It is the 2nd year the auction is being featured. Art Show, Sale & Auction will be held at the Avalon Community Hall, Avalon Avenue & 30th Street, by the beach. Admission is free both days. Donations are accepted.

The Art Show is APAC’s “premier” event featuring over 50 artists from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New York. Only the artists’ original work will be exhibited and sold. Artists’ works will be judged in several categories: oil, acrylic, watercolor, works on paper/mixed media and photography. June 10 is the deadline for artists to enter the show.

Judging and awards will be announced by 12 p.m. Best in Show carries a cash award of $500, first place $200, second place $150 and third place $100. Linette Childs of Woodbine was 2015 “Best of Show” award winner for her work, “Muddy Boats.”
