Animal House Presents Founder With Custom Guitar

On Friday, Sept. 18, as Animal House performed at Menz Restaurant & Bar in Rio Grande, the band presented its founder, George Garcia, with a custom guitar in honor of the band’s 20th anniversary. The custom guitar, valued at over $5,000, was created through a vendor that supplies private stock wood for Paul Reed Smith guitars. Friends and family of Animal House willingly contributed to the purchase of the guitar.

“We thought it would be a great idea, never really knowing that it would pan out or that all of the friends and family of Animal House would be able to keep it quiet throughout the busy summer schedule,” said Chris Moyer, Garcia’s girlfriend. “Because of the friendships and love the band has created throughout the past 20 years, we were able to pull it off.”

Established in 1995, Animal House is a band from the Philly/South Jersey area that covers various party dance songs from the 50’s through today’s music, specializing in classic party rock, reggae, calypso, dance, funk, hip hop and alternative music.
