For the past three years, every Friday during the summer, 15-year-old Zoe Herishen teaches a free ukulele class at Sunrise Park on Rambler Road. This weekly event is sponsored by Ocean Outfitters Surf Shop. The surf shop provides ukuleles to borrow for those attending the class who do not own their own instrument.
By the end of the class everyone is playing along and/or up dancing the hula. In addition, the event typically attracts anywhere from 40-60 people each year.
