30-foot Christmas Tree Arrives at Congress Hall

It’s beginning to look like the most wonderful time of the year at Congress Hall! The holidays are fast approaching and nothing symbolizes that more than the arrival of Congress Hall’s Christmas tree. The tree is the center piece of the annual Winter Wonderland celebration, a well-loved and time honored tradition. This year’s tree is a 30-foot Blue Spruce, which was donated by The Burtson Family of North Cape May. Friday, Nov. 17, crews cut down the tree from the family’s yard and transported it to Congress Hall’s Grand Lawn, where it was then hoisted. The tree will then be decorated in preparation for the official Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 1, which has become a favorite holiday event for residents and visitors.
