Did you hear the one about the family that vacationed in Avalon and came home full of great memories and delicious pancakes? It’s no joke… but it is guaranteed to make you smile.
On Saturday morning, June 11 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Avalon Community Hall, 30th Street and the beach, you and your family can take part in what has become an annual tradition. The Avalon Lions Club will host its annual Pancake Breakfast with endless pancakes, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea, milk, juice and all the fixings, which is only just the beginning. This year there will also be face painting and balloons for the kids. Get all of this and more for a small donation of $8 for adults and $6 for children.
The morning is sponsored by the Avalon Lions Charities Foundation with all proceeds going to help the blind and needy in Cape May County. For more information and to join in the fun, please call Ken Williams at (609) 923-4613 or Joe Meschino (609)967-8462.
The Avalon Lions Club conducts fundraisers for the visually impaired and for those with special needs with all donations staying right here in Cape May County. We provide funding for the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, Volunteers in Medicine, Holy Redeemer and other food banks, CASA, CARA, Family Promise, Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots and area eye banks.
