Join us for a special session of skating for toddlers and caregivers! Enjoy fun music for toddlers and skating in an environment with other toddlers and parents! Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates or they can rent them from our facility. All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Admission fee is $5 per person. 2. Hawk Haven Vineyard’s Cellar Tasting
Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17 at 12 p.m.

Find out what’s behind the cellar door at Hawk Haven. For only ten hours this January, you’ll be able to taste and purchase some of Hawk Haven’s best cellared wines. Come to our Cellar Wine Tasting from 12 to 5 p.m. and join our winemaking staff in appreciating these outstanding wines while they last. Cellar Wine Tastings are $20 per person; regular Wine Tastings will also be available for $8 per person.
3. The Wildwoods’ Polar Bear Plunge
Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m.
Beach behind the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
The Wildwoods’ Polar Bear Plunge is a family-friendly event benefiting more than 22,000 athletes of the Special Olympics New Jersey. The Polar Bear Plunge is a FREE event for spectators to watch, but Plungers must raise $100 in pledges to participate in the event. Registration is available online by visiting www.njpolarplunge.org. Additional registration and donations will be accepted on-site the day of the event. Check-in will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. inside the warm Wildwoods Convention Center before the event. Immediately following the Plunge, all participants can enjoy a free lunch inside the Wildwoods Convention Center.
4. Zoo Society Annual Fundraiser
Saturday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

You’re invited to an evening of MONKEY BUSINESS! Join the Cape May County Zoological Society/ZooFriends in celebrating 2016 Year of the Monkey. Enjoy butlered hors d’oeuvres, classic Asian appetizers and finger foods, a cash bar, raffles, music and dancing. There will be a hilarious stand-up comedy hour featuring nationally touring comedian Tom McTernan and others. This year’s event will raise funds to begin the costly process of building a new multi-species house for monkeys and lemurs and complete the Creatures of the Canopy exhibits for our tamarins and marmosets. These new facilities are designed for improved animal care, zookeeper efficiency and up-close viewing for zoo visitors. Tickets are $50. 5. Sunday Night at the Movies: Billy Elliott

Enjoy Sunday Night at the Movies at The Branches, next to St. Mary’s Thrift Shop, behind Family Dollar on Rt. 47, Rio Grande to see “Billy Elliott.” When 11-year-old Billy Elliott trades boxing school for ballet lessons, his father is less than pleased but when the boy wins an audition for the Royal Ballet School, he experiences a change of heart. Rated R. There is no charge for the movie and the evening is open to everyone. Movie goers can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy a discussion after the movie.
