Cape May: Line Dancing
Tuesdays through March 25

This class is open to all levels! The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to learning some basic steps and doing basic beginner dances – this is perfect if you are new to line dancing. The remainder of the class will be beginner and up. We will be dancing to a mix of music. Line dancing is not only fun, it’s also good for your mind and body and it’s a great stress buster because we usually laugh a lot.

Ocean City AARP will host Krista McConnell, Director Cape May County Campus and Community Outreach, Atlantic Cape Community College. Ms. McConnell will explain the Senior Adult Gaining Education and Stimulation (SAGES) Program, available to adults 60 and older.

Join Gina at the nature center to hike between 2.5 and 3 miles and appreciate the beautiful Pine Barrens and mixed pinewoods. Dogs are allowed, but bring a leash! Meet at the nature center, by the lake, before the start time.

Two sessions to attend, with the same content – either 10am to 12pm, or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We will have stations with Virtual Drone Flying, collage journals and zentangle, making a craft cut by our Cricut, take a picture as a super-hero, create a super-hero shield, and digital art. Light snacks provided to keep you powered up.

Garland Hollman will be presenting the program, which will explore what makes a character and provide tips and tricks to draw your superhero or supervillain. Participants are welcome to bring portfolios and previous works. Garland Hollman has over 20 years of experience as a multimedia creator. He holds credits with Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Upper Deck, Vibe Magazine, Copic Markers, and other media outlets. Registration is required for this event.
