Cape May: Line Dancing   

Tuesdays through March 25

This class is open to all levels! The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to learning some basic steps and doing basic beginner dances – this is perfect if you are new to line dancing. The remainder of the class will be beginner and up. We will be dancing to a mix of music. Line dancing is not only fun, it’s also good for your mind and body and it’s a great stress buster because we usually laugh a lot.

Birding Cape May Point 

Wednesday, March 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. 

Meet at the Hawkwatch Platform at Cape May Point State Park 

Join Cape May Bird Observatory program coordinator, Adehl Schwaderer, and volunteer naturalists for 1.5 hours of birding around beautiful Cape May Point! With spring approaching most of the winter waterfowl will be departing soon, so come along to track them down before it’s too late! During this program, we will be scouring the Cape May Point State Park to see what avian winter visitors and early spring migrants are calling Cape May Point their home. We will meet at the Cape May Point Hawkwatch Platform and take a slow stroll to view various ponds at the State Park. 

Ocean City: Spring Art Reception  

Friday, March 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The Ocean City Arts Center’s helps to usher in Spring with a beautiful exhibit titled, “Watercolor & Ink: Olga Nenazhivina” Her colleciton has been since March 3, but come to the reception to meet the artist and for light refreshments. Olga Nenazhivina is a Russian–American artist originally from Saratov in southern Russia. Her drawings are compact worlds of carefully orchestrated line and form. Though she works in various media, ink and paper have become her most trusted companions.

Friday and Saturday, March 14 + 15 

Ocean City Free Public Library 

The sale runs Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Offering fiction, non-fiction hardback and paperback books for adults, children, and young adults as well as Puzzles, Audio Books, CDs, and DVDs. Cash only! Please bring a tote bag for your purchases 

Belleplain: Full “Eagle” Moon Hike  

Friday, March 14 at 7:15  

Meet at the park office  

Join us at the park office by 7:15 to hike 2.5 miles under March’s full moon. Dogs are allowed, but please bring a leash! Red light flashlights only; don’t bring a normal flashlight as it will make it harder for your eyes to adjust to the bright moonlight.   

Willow Creek Winery: St. Patrick’s Weekend Festival  

Friday to Sunday, March 14 – 16 from 11:30 to 5 p.m. 

168 Stevens St, West Cape May 

This 3-day festival will include Irish dancers, pipe and drum corps, and live music performances. The event will also include an open-air artisan market featuring local vendors from 11:30 am – 5 pm each day.

Belleplain: Trash Cleanup   

Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.   

Meet at the park office to clean up trash with us and Americorps Watershed Ambassadors! Supplies will be given – gloves, trash pickers, and vests – but bringing your own is encouraged.   

North Wildwood: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration & Parade

Mass at St. Ann Church, Parade at City Hall   

Start the day with a Catholic Mass service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church of Notre Dame La Mer Parish, followed by a moving ceremony at noon on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall (9th & Atlantic Ave.). Then, get ready for a festive parade filled with Irish pride! As the ceremony concludes, the parade will march north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue. 

Belleplain: Seven Mile Hike

Meet at the nature center  

This is the first day of Spring – come celebrate with a long hike through Belleplain State forest. Meet at the nature center, by the lake, before the start time.

Join Gina at the nature center to hike between 2.5 and 3 miles and appreciate the beautiful Pine Barrens and mixed pinewoods. Dogs are allowed, but bring a leash! Meet at the nature center, by the lake, before the start time.
