Hope you’re feeling BRRRave, because the Fallen Heroes Polar Bear Plunge returns to North Wildwood on Saturday, Feb. 23! This plunge is dedicated to the memory of our fallen heroes.
The plunge takes place at 11 a.m. at 16th Street and the beach in North Wildwood. Pre-register for the plunge at http://www.fallenheroplunge2019.eventbrite.com. Cost is $35 for adults and $15 for children under 15, and includes a T-shirt for the first 1,000 sign ups. On the day of the plunge, registration opens at 8:45 a.m. at the 15th Street Lifeguard Station. Cost is $40 for adults and $15 for children under 15, and T-shirts are available while supplies last. You only need to register if you are going in the water!
The post party will take place at Keenan’s Irish Pub, 113 Olde New Jersey Ave., North Wildwood, at noon. Party is free for plungers. Enjoy live music by Vince Schneider and the Corner Boys, Jamison and DJ Teak. Prizes for best costumes, teams and individuals will be awarded. Proceeds benefit families of police officers lost in the line of duty and MRSA awareness.
The night before the plunge, Friday, Feb. 22, Keenan’s will host a registration pizza party from 6 to 8 p.m. A $20 donation includes reduced drink prices. Enjoy live music by Jamison and an auction of autographed items, gift certificates and baskets!
