AVALON – The popular weekly event Thursdays on Dune returns to Avalon every week through Aug. 24. Attendees can look forward to family-fun activities including bounce houses, crafts, giveaways and character meet-and-greets at various locations on Dune Drive from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a concert at Veterans Plaza from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
With local businesses lining the street, the aroma of fresh food filling the air and the bustle of families on bike and foot, Dune Drive is the ideal location for this weekly celebration. Retail shops remain open, offering extended shopping hours to allow for families to shop, dine and enjoy the fun activities.
“Thursdays on Dune always remind me of why I love Avalon,” said Chamber of Commerce President John O’Dea. “When everyone in town comes together, you can see why this place is so special. From the food to the people to the music to the beach just down the block, it doesn’t get much better than this.”
Shore life is the best life and Thursdays on Dune are here to show it. From the Baby Parade to the Johnny Cash Tribute Band, each week will bring something different!
