The Cape May Jazz Vespers’ 5th annual December benefit concert will be presented on Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St. For the last four years, the Jazz Vespers of Cape May has dedicated its December concert as a benefit where some of the area’s finest musicians donate their time and wonderful talents to come together and present holidays favorites. From our first year, where proceeds went to Hurricane Sandy relief, to last year, where proceeds went to the food closet of Cape May, the Vespers series have raised over $6,000 for these causes. This year, all proceeds will benefit our furry friends that share our world and be given to Animal Outreach of South Jersey.
Featuring an all-star lineup of musicians playing their take on some of the holiday’s beloved songs, this year we are proud to have a stellar lineup that includes Barry Miles, Jon Pruitt, Herb Moore, Bob Shomo, Gordon Vincent, Rachel Husta, Harry Himles and Dylan Taylor just to name a few. Each year the musicians come together and donate their time and talents, always graciously willing to participate.
The Cape May Jazz Vespers, at the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, spotlights South Jersey’s finest musicians in monthly concerts presented on the third Sunday of each month. For a suggested donation of $10, audiences are treated with world-class jazz talents.
This is a concert not to be missed. Last year’s Vespers benefit concert was a huge hit with the audience and a great way to celebrate the season! Please come out and support Animal Outreach of Cape May County. The suggested donation is $10. Hope to see you there!
