Singer and guitarist Wesley Ochs, originally from Montgomery and Bucks Counties of Pennsylvania, has been a top performer in Cape May County in recent years. Playing both acoustic and electric guitar, he is more than capable of playing an array of music for any type of audience. He sings classic rock, ballads, alternative and modern rock, island/reggae, oldies, country and party favorites and welcomes and encourages requests at every venue.
Music isn’t something new for Wesley Ochs; it has always just come easily and naturally to him. He has been playing music and singing since he was only 7 years old. He has a Bachelors Degree in Music from Berklee College and prides himself on teaching private lessons in guitar, bass, vocals and piano. According to Wesley, his inspiration comes from his love of all styles of music and the crowd’s energy as they dance and sing along during his performances.
Wesley formed the band called “Banana Trio” that performs at Rusty Nail in Cape May, The Boiler Room at Congress Hall, Goodnight Irene’s in North Wildwood, the Bayshore in North Cape May, and other local hotspots. He also entertains as a solo artist at the Beach Shack in Cape May every Wednesday, Westy’s Irish Pub in North Wildwood every Friday, Country Club Tavern in Swainton, Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille in Cape May, and others.
Wesley Ochs has performed at hundreds of venues for thousands of people in places all over the world including Pennsylvania, Key West, Boston, Bermuda, and Dubai UAE. During his time as a studio musician and engineer, Wesley recorded with Brad Delp from the band Boston and engineered for Chubby Checker. He has been selected to perform at the sporting events of several professional teams including the Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Phantoms, Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Redskins, as well as at select Atlantic City casinos including Resorts, Harrah’s, Caesars, & Trump.
