Kegs, Corks & Spirits: Featuring Cape May Winery

Looking for a day away from sunshine and sandy beaches? Or perhaps a night out with friends or a significant other? Maybe you’re looking for something to do on a gray day at the shore? We’ve got the perfect answer: experience Cape May County’s local hops, grapes and spirits! The Jersey Cape’s local breweries, wineries and distilleries each have their own unique flare, making for a one-of-a-kind experience at each. Tour the facilities and talk to the experts to learn how beer, wine and spirits are made. Send your palate on a journey with tastings, and bring your favorite flavor home in a growler or bottle!

Cape May Winery & Vineyard has grown over the past two decades to produce some of South Jersey’s most distinguished wines. The winery contains over 70 acres of land with four different vineyards from which 11 different varieties of grapes are produced. Cape May’s sandy soil and mild climate make the area a premier grape-growing region, therefore Cape May Winery’s grapes have the ideal setting to thrive and create fine wines.

Through the years, Cape May Winery has become one of Cape May’s top tourist attractions. Cape May Winery offers enticing spots to unwind, relax, linger and enjoy, both indoor and out. With multiple tasting rooms, a charming deck overlooking the vineyard and an outside patio with bonfire pits, guests are guaranteed to enjoy the ideal tasting treat. Cozy up in the downstairs solarium, complete with a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows for breathtaking views of the vineyard.

On a winery tour, novice and experienced wine drinkers learn from grapes to bottle how this local wine is made, and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the wine-making operation. Stroll through the gorgeous vineyard and sample a soon-to-be-released wine right from the barrel. Participate in a tasting and try a variety of whites and reds which range from dry to sweet, and keep your souvenir wine glass to remember your experience by. While furry friends are always welcome at the winery, pets are not permitted on tours.

In addition to tastings and tours, Cape May Winery holds special events throughout the year. Check out Summer Grill Nights at the winery this season, allowing you to dine at the winery on a beautiful summer evening (reservations required).
