The Cape May County Department of Health would like to invite the public the to Cape May County Healthy Community Day at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be jam-packed with free activities for the whole family that include yoga, two-mile breast cancer awareness walk, special guest speaker, Narcan Training, and health screenings.
“Come join us and explore all the health services that Cape May County has to offer! This event gives you the opportunity to get your health in check by taking advantage of the free health screenings and seminars offered,” said Kevin Thomas, Cape May County Health Officer.
Admission and parking for Cape May County Healthy Community Day are free to participants. The day will start off with a free two-mile breast cancer awareness walk at 9:00 A.M. Registration for the walk will begin at 8:15 A.M. Participants will receive a free t-shirt as supplies last. Yoga will begin at 10:45 A.M. Please bring your own mat. There will be family fun, such as Easter Grinch, McGruff, friendly characters, Cape May County Park and Zoo, and Cape May County K-9 Unit.
Health screenings will be offered, such as cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure as supplies last. Lunch will be provided during Joe Faldetta from Cape Assist’s presentation on addressing substance misuse in Cape May County, “Why They Just Can’t Stop,” to those who register at bit.ly/417minp.
