Trick or Treat Around Cape May County 2018

Halloween is quickly approaching, and Cape May County offers many ways to celebrate the tradition of trick-or-treating! Get the kids’ costumes ready and read on to find trick-or-treating hours and other trick-or-treating events happening throughout the county.

Cape May: Trick or Treat on the Mall
Sunday, Oct. 21 from 12 to 2 p.m.
Washington Street Mall

During Trick or Treat on the Mall, many of the 90+ mall merchants will offer treats to children in costume. The charming architecture and safe environment will provide trick-or-treaters with a wonderful experience! Following trick-or-treating will be Cape May’s annual Halloween parade. Trick or Treat on the Mall is sponsored by the Small Businesses of the Washington Street Mall.

Upper Township: Upper Township Rescue Squad Trunk or Treat
Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Amanda’s Field, 10 Sunset Dr., Petersburg

The Upper Township Rescue Squad will provide safe trick-or-treat fun for children of all ages! Cost is $5 per child and treat bags will be provided. Rain date is Wednesday, Oct. 24. There will be Best In Show awards for commercial and private vehicles. Lower Township: Trick or Treat during LCMR Haunted High School

Lower Cape May Regional High school presents Haunted High School. LCMR students have transformed hallways and classrooms in a haunted high school and will welcome costumed trick or treaters for an evening of Halloween fun!

Cape May Point: Trick or Treat on the Trail
Friday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Dennis Township: Spookland Village Trick or Treat Night

Wildwood: Halloween Spooktacular
Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m.
Fox Park, Ocean Avenue between Montgomery & Burk avenues

During this family-friendly event, kids can enjoy trick-or-treating at the row of themed, interactive booths including Ghosts Galore, Super Heroes, Pretty Princesses, A Wild Halloween and more. There will also be pumpkin painting, a “scary” Hay Maze, a pumpkin carving show, a Spooky Scavenger Hunt with prizes, an all-ages costume contest, a cornhole tournament, food tents, vendors, live music, a Spooky Dance Party, face painting, magicians, themed characters, bounce houses and more. North Wildwood: Greater Wildwood Elks Halloween Haunted House

North Wildwood: Trunk or Treat Halloween Block Party
Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

A family fun event! Families are encouraged to bring their vehicles decorated for Halloween. Children will come in costume and visit each car where families will provide treats from the trunks of their cars. There will be no judging of the children’s costumes, but prizes will be awarded to the vehicles with the best decorations. Registration is free and forms are available at the North Wildwood Community Center. Middle Township: Goshen Volunteer Fire Company Trunk or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Decorate those trunks and bring the kiddos out for a fun, safe and free evening of “Trunk-or-Treating!” There are prize ribbons to be snatched up as well as bragging rights. It’s a fun night to socialize with neighbors and other members of the community. Those who would like to decorate their trunks should message the Goshen Volunteer Fire Dept. via Facebook, or leave a message at the station at (609) 465-8714. There will also be an outdoor movie (child-friendly) immediately following Trunk or Treat at 8 p.m. Bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy a Halloween favorite shown on the big screen!

Lower Township: Trunk or Treat during Autumn Fest
Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Cape May Ferry Terminal Parking Lot, 1200 Lincoln Blvd., North Cape May

The Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation in conjunction with the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition and the Delaware River and Bay Authority will host Autumn Fest beginning at 10 a.m. with food trucks, vendors, live music, kids activities including inflatables and games. Avalon: Trunk or Treat
NEW DATE: Sunday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.
28th Street Parking Lot

Bring the whole family over to Avalon and enjoy pumpkin decorating, funnel cake, caramel apples and more! Participants of the event are encouraged to decorate a car for children to trunk or treat. Wildwood Crest: Trunk or Treat
Monday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.
Crest Pier Recreation Center, Heather Road & Ocean Avenue

Children will dress up in their Halloween costumes and collect candy from vehicles decorated for the Halloween season. The event includes DJ entertainment, hayrides on the Wildwood Crest Bike Path, food and more. The event is free, except a small fee is required for hayrides. Owners of all participating vehicles will receive a gift and prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated vehicles. Vehicles must be registered by Friday, Oct. 26. Ocean City: Trick-or-Treating during the Community Center’s Haunted House 
Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Ave., Ocean City

The Ocean City Community Center will host a free Haunted House in the Ocean City Free Public Library with trick-or-treating all around the Community Center at the different facilities. Stop by the Library, Aquatic and Fitness Center, Historical Museum and Arts Center for Halloween tricks and treats! Also enjoy crafts and games. Cape May: Nature Center of Cape May Halloween Open House
Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.

During trick or treat hours, stop by the Nature Center for some candy and a walk around the haunted meadow. Say hello and even touch some of the creepy animals at the center, like the snakes and tarantula that you might find out aren’t so creepy after all! Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Cape May: Trick or Treat at the Physick Estate

Woodbine: Trunk or Treat
Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Woodbine Bike Path between Washington & Adams avenues

On Halloween night, Woodbine Recreation Commission will sponsor a Trunk or Treat event along the Woodbine Bike Path. The event is open to all Woodbine residents and there will be a car decorating contest. Residents may still provide Halloween treats at their homes during the set Trick or Treat hours.

Sea Isle City: Trunk or Treat
Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Municipal Marina Parking Lot along 42nd Place (adjacent to the Welcome Center)

Goblins and Ghouls spending Halloween Night in Sea Isle City can participate in Trunk or Treat, hosted by the Recreation Office. Residents, businesses and organizations are invited to distribute candy from their trunks or open tail gates.  A prize will be awarded to the “Best Decorated” vehicle.
