It’s a rainy day and you are looking for things to do… Why not take a drive to the nearest movie theater to check out some of the hottest movies coming out this summer?
1.) Byzantium – On June 28th, Neil Jordan returns to the world of vampires. A mother and daughter duo arrive in a small British town with a 200 year history behind them. Their story begins during the Napoleonic Wars. Eleanor and Clara seek sanctuary in a rundown coastal resort where Clara meets a man named Noel who had just inherited the Byzantium Hotel. Soon after, they change the hotel into a makeshift brothel where she and her companion can drink the blood of humans while keeping it all a secret. It’s only a matter of time before Clara and Eleanor’s past comes back to haunt them and they meet again… Will Clara keep the darkness of the hotel to herself or share it with Eleanor?
2.) White House Down – Coming out June 28th, Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx hit the big screens nationwide. While John Cale (Channing Tatum) is on tour of the White House with his daughter Emily, he jumps into action to save his child and protect the president (Jamie Foxx) from an armed group of paramilitary invaders. Find out if he has the strength to save them both or will he have to leave one behind?
3.) The Lone Ranger – Coming out July 3rd, Johnny Depp is back and better than ever playing the Ranger’s sidekick while Armie Hammer wears the black mask and climbs atop the well-known Silver. This is when we will find out how Lone Ranger became Lone Ranger…
4.) Despicable Me 2 – Of course, we did not forget about the kids. This upbeat, funny movie hits theaters July 3rd and promises to keep you and your children smiling. Sit back and enjoy as Gru is recruited by the anti-villain league to try and help deal with a strong new super criminal. Who will the new villain be and will he be defeated? Bring your children out to find out!
5.) Pacific Rim – On July 12th, the amazing director, Guillermo del Toro, unleashes alien creatures as they rise from the Pacific Ocean wreaking havoc. Just when you think there is no hope, a bunch of brave folks build enormous robots to fight off the aliens. Cities are destroyed, the oceans rage, and at one point the robots take oil tankers to use as weapons against the aliens. The action never stops in this thriller.
6.) Only God Forgives – On July 19th, Ryan Gosling is back as a tough son being raised with a drug running family. His mother sends him off to seek vengeance for the death of his brother in Bangkok. This movie is filled with action and entertainment. Make sure to watch as Ryan Gosling shows his tough guy side while leaving you speechless and continuously wanting more.
7) The Wolverine – A movie that you can never get sick of, The Wolverine, hits theaters on July 26th and is more action-packed than ever. Wolverine finds himself in modern day Japan where he soon encounters an enemy from his past that can potentially change the course of The Wolverine’s future. Will this be the end to Wolverine or will he continue on?
