Westy’s Features Oceanfront Fun

After decades of experience and thousands of happy patrons, Westy’s Irish Pub has established itself as one of North Wildwood’s best. Westy’s is a descendant of West Tavern of Philadelphia, opened by former owner Art West’s father in 1943. Art brought his lifelong pub saavy to East Walnut Avenue in North Wildwood in 1996. Westy’s Pub has since undergone several expansions and improvements but maintains its reputation as a go-to North Wildwood hangout.

Start your day with a view at Westy’s from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and grab breakfast on the patio. Take a break from the beach and check out Westy’s all-American lunch menu options including huge tavern sandwiches such as the Oyster Po Boy or the Westy, char-grilled chicken breast topped, peppers, and Colby Jack served on a ciabatta. The Boardwalk burger, topped with onion rings, bacon, and cheese sauce, is another shore-inspired classic that will not disappoint.

When you need a break from the sun, Westy’s downstairs indoor dining room offers a fun pub ambiance. The downstairs patio or upstairs deck are prime locations to enjoy the sea breeze. Need an afternoon cocktail? Be sure to sample Westy’s famous Celtic Lemonade and listen for the sounds of the crashing waves and calling gulls just ahead at Hereford Inlet.

For dinner, stake out a great seat on the ocean front deck and enjoy fresh local seafood from Westy’s raw bar. Crab fingers, U-Peel shrimp, Topneck clams, and Cape May salt oysters are served with cocktail sauce, lemon, and horseradish, and ask a server about the Oyster of the Day. The indoor Irish pub downstairs serves up hardy entrees including Fish and Chips, Westy’s Shepherd’s Pie, and even Chicken or Veal Francaise. Westy’s Weekly Specials have also been the talk of the town. Swing by Tuesday or Thursday and eat like a king on Prime Rib Nights. Wednesdays feature Super-size Chicken Parm for just $11.99. On “Sunday Fun Day”, Westy’s serves up some Mexican zest with $1.50 tacos all day and night long. Plus, Westy’s hosts Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. both upstairs and downstairs, featuring Coors Light plus all summer brews for just $2.50.

After dinner, the night heats up on Westy’s 7,000 square foot ocean front deck. The deck features a large stage fit for a band of nearly any size that will feature some of the top bands of the east coast. Local favorites such as The Amish Outlaws, Fame & Fortune, Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns, Bigg Romeo, and The Benjamins are just a few of the twenty-plus entertainers set to play on Westy’s oceanfront deck this summer season. Enjoy the music from the 75-foot bar in the center of the deck or front-row from the dance floor in front of the stage.

In the heart of North Wildwood’s entertainment district, Westy’s has mastered nightlife fun. With one of the friendliest staffs in the Wildwoods and its ever-changing entertainment scene, Westy’s is the place to be after the sun sets. Thirsty Thursdays feature Reverse Happy Hour from 8-10 p.m., and StellarMojo takes the bar’s stage at 10. Westy’s weekend entertainment features Video Quizzo with DJ Richie Palko Friday night and DJ Jerry Smith’s awesome playlist on Saturday night starting at 10. Westy’s Irish Pub offers a great cocktail, a delicious dish, and a fun night out for all types of Jersey Shore patrons.
