West Cape May Lima Bean Festival Postponed Until Oct. 12

WEST CAPE MAY – West Cape May Lima Bean Festival was originally scheduled to be held Sat., Oct. 11, but has been moved to Oct. 12 due to the current forecast. This world famous and local’s favorite festival is held in Wilbraham Park at the corners of Broadway and West Perry in beautiful West Cape May. The festival offers free admission and goes from 9-5.

Lima Bean t-shirts, Lima Bean pottery, Lima Bean stained and fused glass, Lima Bean jewelry and Lima Bean hats will be available along with Lima Bean Chili, Lima Bean soup, Lima Bean salad, Lima Bean cake, Lima Bean Hummus, Lima Bean empanadas, Lima Bean crepes and Lima Bean cookies. There are always a few surprises from the vendors of Lima Bean related items. Antiques, art, birdhouses, clothing, jewelry, produce, as well as fresh flowers, books and honey will be sold.

This year the entertainment promises to be a special treat. For the first time the Lima Bean Festival has partnered with the Cape May Jazz Festival to provide an entertainment line up that is cool and jazzy. From 10-12:30, enjoy the Paul Jost Trio, listen to the Herb Moore Trio from 12:45 to 3, and then hear Eddie Morgan from 3:15 untill 5.

Of course the highlight of the day, even with that great entertainment, is the crowning of the 2014 West Cape May Lima Bean King and Queen at 3. Vote all day for the coveted crown.

Admission is Free and Wilbraham Park is at the intersections of Broadway, Sunset, West Perry and Park Blvd in beautiful West Cape May, NJ.

The Lima Bean Festival benefits the Wilbraham Park Trust which funds the maintenance of the Wilbraham Park.
