John Walter Cape Community Band Concert in the Park

Get your toes tapping and your hands clapping as the community concert band for Cape May County plays an exciting mix of marches, pop, rock, and swing music that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Tri the Wildwoods’ Triathlon & 5K Run
Saturday, August 16th from 6:30 a.m.
Where: 15th Ave & the beach, North Wildwood

Tri the Wildwoods’ Triathlon & 5k Run will take place Aug. 16 beginning at 6:30 a.m. This is the event’s 10th anniversary and it will feature a rite of passage race encompassing a ¼-mile swim, a 10-mile bike trek and 3.1 mile (5K) beach run. You can participate in only the 5K beach run. Age-group winners receive awards and a massive prize raffle for everyone will be hosted immediately following the event.

Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market
Saturday, August 16th from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Pacific & Schellenger Aves, Wildwood

Twenty vendors selling fresh farm goods, baked goods, specialty foods, prepared foods, seafood, meats, cheeses, wine, coffee and more all summer long! Weekly live broadcast on 98.7 The Coast and family entertainment! Parking available in the municipal parking lot between Schellenger & Oak Avenues.

West Cape May Hosts Arts and Antiques Show
Saturday, August 16th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Wilbraham Park, West Cape May

Local and regional artists and antique dealers will be in Wilbraham Park, West Cape May to display and sell their goods. This shaded park is a lovely backdrop to artwork depicting the Cape May area and some international destinations. This show benefits the West Cape May History committee and admission is free.

Historic Cold Spring Village Annual Classic and Antique Car Show
Saturday-Sunday, August 16th & 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Historic Cold Spring Village – 720 Shore Rd, Cape May

Cruise into Historic Cold Spring Village for the popular Annual Classic and Antique Car Show. Vintage automobiles and trucks will park among the shaded paths and historic buildings. This event is generously sponsored by Kindle Auto Plaza.

See beautifully restored and preserved vehicles, from muscle cars to light trucks, from the 1910s to the 1980s parked along the Village’s tree-lined, shell-paved lanes. On Saturday, members of the Jersey Cape Region AACA will be showing their antique vehicles, while hotrods and other classics will be presented by KB Productions and the Greater Wildwood Hotel & Motel Association on Sunday.

Bay-Atlantic Symphony Concert
Saturday, August 16th from 7 to 9 p.m.
Where: Avalon Free Public Library – 235 32nd St, Avalon

The orchestra will present Go the Distance, with music by Verdi, Borodin, Sibelius, and Brahms Violin Concerto performed by Caroline Goulding. Tickets available to the general public!

Summer Concert feat. “Separate Ways The Band” (Journey Tribute)
Saturday, August 16th from 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Excursion Park – JFK Blvd & Pleasure Ave, Sea Isle City

The concert is free to attend! Don’t forget to bring your beach chairs and blankets.

Guts & Glory 5K Run/Walk
Sunday, August 17th from 7 to 9 a.m.
Where: 18th and Simpson Ave, Ocean City

The Guts & Glory 5K Run/Walk benefits the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Early registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt. Five Mile “Fat Tire” Bike Hike on the Beach

Where: Schellenger Ave Beach, Wildwood

The Wildwood Beach Patrol in cooperation with the Lunch with Lynch Foundation will be holding this event on the Wildwood Beach at Schellenger Avenue at low tide on the water’s edge. United Way of Cape May County Rubber Ducky Regatta
Sunday, August 17th from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Where: Morey’s Pier – Schellenger Ave & the Boardwalk, Wildwood

Raging Waters Water Park, Morey’s Piers at Schellenger Avenue & the Boardwalk, Wildwood. 7:30 p.m. Join us in celebrating our 20th year racing rubber ducks! Morey’s Piers hosts this annual benefit for the Cape May County United Way. Watch as thousands of little yellow ducks race at Raging Waters for great prizes.
