Murder Mystery Weekend
Friday-Saturday, November 14th & 15th

The award-winning East Lynne Theater Company, with The Henry Sawyer Inn and Twin Gables Inn, present a Murder Mystery Weekend Nov. 14-15, 2014.
Retired Philadelphia police detective Frank Smith is on hand to provide just enough information to keep the investigation going. Packages include Friday night appetizers, dinner at one of Cape May’s fine restaurants, breakfast, and a dessert reception on Saturday evening – all while guests continue to gather clues to solve the crime.

Nature Walks for All Ages: Fall Foliage
Saturday, November 15th from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Where: Upper Cape Library – 2050 Tuckahoe Rd, Petersburg
The Cape May County Library invites the public to join monthly interpretive nature walks for all ages. The Nature Center of Cape May will present a nature walk series for all ages on the third Saturday of each month. This month, Sam will focus on the various songbirds that populate South Jersey, and the migration patterns they make use of every year. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars. There will be a limited quantity available.
Sam Wilson is a teacher and naturalist at the New Jersey Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May. His passion is teaching about science and nature, and conveying the importance of the conversation of our natural resources and wildlife.
Jersey Shore Comic Book Show
Sunday, November 16th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Toms River Elks – 600 Washington St, Toms River
The Jersey Shore Comic Book Show features dealers, artists and cosplay groups. Guests include Joe del Beato, Bob Petrecca, Neil Vokes, Howard Bender, David Hardy and Emilio, Velez, Jr. Admission free to those in costume. Consult the event Facebook page for further details.
Cape May Jazz Vespers Series with Denis DiBlasio and Brian Betz
Sunday, November 16th from 3 to 5 p.m.
Where: First Presbyterian Church of Cape May – 500 Hughes St, Cape May
The teaming of South Jersey favorite Denis DiBlasio and his protégé Brian Betz has been a fruitful one, spawning a number of acclaimed CD’s and great performances throughout the East Coast. In the 1980’s, Denis joined legendary trumpeter Maynard Ferguson’s Big Band and went on to serve as the Bands musical director for five years. Denis currently heads the Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz at Rowan University. Brian Betz is an award winning educator and performer. Having several solo CD’s released with his own ensembles. Brian is a two-time winner of the Betty Carter International Jazz Competition.
