“Third Thursday” Plein Air Painting Class
Thursday, November 20th from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May NWR – 12001 Pacific Ave, Wildwood Crest

Join us at the Two Mile Beach Visitor Contact Station for the next in a series of monthly outdoor painting workshops led by local artist Janet McShain. Janet, a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, specializes in “plein air” watercolor painting. “En plein air” is a phrase used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Sessions will run from 12:30-3:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month. Feel free to come early and bring lunch or a snack; we will provide coffee, tea and water. Bring your own equipment, or feel free to borrow some of ours. We have paints, brushes, paper and other materials for you to borrow.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & Santa

Come to the grounds of the Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, for the Christmas tree lighting with special guests Santa Claus and Dr. Physick. Refreshments will be served, and guests may enjoy a free self-guided tour of the Physick Estate from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Santa arrives at 7 p.m. to flip the switch and light the thousands of bulbs. NJ Ballet Presents “The Nutcracker”
Sunday, November 23rd from 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: Middle Township Performing Arts Center- 212 Bayberry Dr, Cape May Court House

The New Jersey Ballet brings its production of “Nutcracker” to the Performing Arts Center of Middle Township on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. Earlier this year, arts enthusiasts voted the North Jersey based company New Jersey’s favorite dance company. Its production of “Nutcracker” has been cited as the longest running original professional production in the state. And when the curtain goes up at the PAC on Sunday afternoon, it will mark a record setting 21st time in the arts center’s 23 year history that it will be performed at the facility. No other group has performed at the PAC as often.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for students and $12 for children ten and under. To purchase tickets, call 463-1924. The Performing Arts Center is situated one mile east of exit ten of the Garden State Parkway. There is free parking on the premises.

Holiday Concert Band Performance
