Sherlock Holmes Weekend
Friday-Sunday, November 7th to 9th

Join Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s master sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, with his partner Dr. Watson, as he chases after evidence in this year’s baffling mystery, “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of The Unforgiven,” during Cape May’s Sherlock Holmes Weekend, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), Nov. 7 through Nov. 9.
Throughout the weekend, participants will get in on the chase during the Search for Clues Tour, vie for the $250 grand prize, among others, and enjoy performances, lunch and an optional theatrical production. Full weekend packages are available at $200 per couple or $105 per person. Sherlock Holmes Weekend packages do not include accommodations or the East Lynne Theater Company performance.

Exit 0 International Jazz Festival

Meet your music at the Exit 0 International Jazz Festival November 7-9! During the three-day fest weekend, Cape May transforms into a jazz mecca as Exit 0 Jazz plays host to over 100 international touring musicians. The atmosphere is styled after European festivals, with fest-goers strolling from venue to venue reveling in the many styles of music from jazz, soul, blues and R&B.
Festival Headliners hit the Cape May Convention Hall main stage each night of the Fest weekend, and the Festival Pops Pass Series features over thirty sets of music in Cape May club venues throughout the weekend.
Candlelight Walk
Saturday, November 8th from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Historic Cold Spring Village – 720 Route 9, Cape May
Step back in time for a lovely autumn evening on Saturday, November 8th when the Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village host the annual Candlelight Walk. Luminaries will line the paths and guide you to several of the Village’s restored historic buildings where wine, beer and a variety of light fare will be served.
Enjoy desserts, live musical entertainment and hot beverages at the Village Pavilion. HCSV Education Director Jim Stephens will present demonstrations and an interpretation of Coxe Hall Cottage, c. 1691, the Village’s oldest building. A special holiday sale at the Country Store will feature heritage wares and a wide variety of historical toys.

Jack Melton Jazz Band
Sunday, November 9th from 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: VFW Post 386 – 419 Congress St, Cape May
The Cape May Traditional Jazz Society presents the “Jack Melton Jazz Band” in concert featuring Jack Melton on trumpet, Joe Barrett on clarinet, Bill Newnam on trombone, Bill McGready on piano, Bill Stumm on bass, and Harry Himles on drums.
