STONE HARBOR – Due to forecast high winds and swells, the Borough of Stone Harbor is rescheduling the Beach Opening Ceremony originally scheduled for Friday, will now take place Saturday, May 27 at 12 p.m. Stone Harbor is opening its beaches in a unique way. Thanks to Atlantic Parasail, Mayor Judy Davies-Dunhour will safely welcome visitors from the air off the coast of 95th Street Beach!
Mayor Davies-Dunhour will be joined by members of Borough Council, the Stone Harbor Beach Patrol, elementary school children, community and local business owners. “There is no better way for me to experience my inaugural beach opening ceremony, than with the pure excitement of viewing Stone Harbor’s stunning panoramic views by parasail, landing into the Atlantic Ocean, and being rowed to shore by New Jersey’s finest Beach Patrol to officially unlock the ocean with Captain Sandy Bosacco,” exclaimed Mayor Davies-Dunhour. “The Stone Harbor Beach Opening Ceremony is the first of many special events Stone Harbor will host this year. We are delighted that we will capture the essence of what it means to be part of this tremendous community from the air during our first annual event of 2017!”
