Paris comes to Cape May on Saturday, June 6 when the businesses of the Washington Street Mall sponsor a fashion show featuring the latest trends from the shops along the Mall. Menswear, women fashions, children’s apparel, including jewelry, shoes, leather and more will be modeled live on the red carpet. The event is scheduled at 11am on the 300 block of the Mall. Event is weather dependent.
Jacob’s Music Company is providing a Steinway Piano for the fashion show, as part of “Steinway & Sons comes to Cape May,” an event taking place in Cape May Convention Hall from June 3 through 6 as a benefit for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
During the Fashion Show, Pianist Paul Sottile will be at the keyboard to entertain the crowds. Paul is a Philadelphia-area composer/arranger who plays the piano, organ, electronic keyboards and synthesizers. He studied classical and jazz piano at West Chester University and graduated with honors from University of the Arts.
The festivities extend beyond the 300 block of the Mall. Merchants in each block are competing in a window dressing contest carrying out the Parisian theme as they compete for 1st, 2nd, 3rd ribbons.
