Pete Mancuso, owner and chef of Mangia’s Beach Front in Cape May
Mangia’s Beach Front, formerly Mangia Cappelletti’s, is best known for serving pizza, steaks and salads to Cape May’s beach front for seven summers. Although the pizzeria’s name has recently changed, we have great news – Pete Mancuso is still the owner, and he continues to cook up the same delicious food!
Although Pete originally went to college to be a doctor, his love of food and cooking led him in a different direction. While in college, he worked in the restaurant business on the side to help pay the bills, and he discovered that it was his passion. He decided to go back to school for hotel and restaurant management and create a career around what he loved. Now a well-known chef in the area, Pete recently served as the guest chef of the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel’s “Discover Italy in Cape May” festival. Additionally, in the past Mangia’s Beach Front was voted “Most Popular in Cape May” by Dining with Dina magazine.
This family owned and operated business has become a “must visit” for vacationers, who often make it a point to stop in and grab a bite to eat from Pete. Due to popular demand, Mangia’s Beach Front is now open year round with dine in, take out, free delivery and catering for the holidays and other occasions, encouraging locals to get a taste of what the visitors love.
Mangia’s Beach Front is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call (609) 884-8850. Find Mangia’s Beach Front on Facebook and view the menu!
