On Saturday, Dec. 14, join us for a Holiday Tour from 6 to 9 p.m. to benefit Partners in Preservation.  Entry to the tour will be a $10 donation for a wrist band, which you can purchase at any venue.

The Holiday Tour will be a self-guided tour of bed & breakfasts, churches, homes, museums, and the original Holly Beach School, a one-room school that held ten students which was later replaced by a much larger school. The bell from second school is still in Park and was restored by the City of Wildwood. There will also be Santa and activities by the Wildwood Recreation Dept at Holly Beach Park, located at 100 E. Burk Ave.

The tour includes the Summer Nites Bed and Breakfast, located at 2110 Atlantic Ave., with 50’s décor and the Candle Light Inn, located at 2310 Central Ave, which is a beautiful restored B&B. There is another restored home located at 2404 Central Ave, St. with a Simeon Church Pipe organ and stain glass windows (enter this location through the parking lot on 25th Ave and Central Ave.). Visit 116 East Juniper Ave. to see a 1920’s house or stop by the George F. Boyer Museum, located at 3907 Pacific Ave., to learn about the history of Wildwood and more.

For more information and additional venues, visit www.wildwoodnjhistory.com, email partnersinpreservation@yahoo.com, or call 609-214-2253 or 609-729-4515. Maps will be available at each site of other historic houses, but those houses are not open for the tour.

Partners In Preservation is a non-profit whose mission is to protect and preserve our community’s historic resources by connecting to other historic sites in Wildwood. Memberships start at $10.00. Volunteers welcome.
